The Eclipse Score was composed by Howard Shore, and from what I’ve heard so far — it is amazing!

Any guesses as to which part of Eclipse the different pieces of music are from? One of them sounds like it would be from the fight with the Newborns!!

Wow it's awesome.One word go out of my mind- Action.I really like it,but my favourite soundtrack is from Twilight,Burwell made something special.His melodys are so in Forks style,cold and mysterious but romantic.New Moon soundtrack was different,so…sad? But personally ,I treat this part of Saga in totally different categorys.

i really liked the book! i want more info about the dirty side of the volturi. i guess i still think they are somewhat the police, but i guess they can be dirty too. i wish we would hear what edward heard in bree's head in eclipse or breaking dawn when dealing with the volturi, but i don't think stephenie puts that in there. i also think that fred leaving will leave a door open for another story with the cullens and meeting up with fred someday. i think stephenie had to write this story for the movie, since we see other sides to the story other than just through bella's eyes. i'm sure MR had questions as to what happens so we can see it in the movie. i hope SM writes more.

Yeah I totally think it was a more of a “have to” rather than her just deciding to write it. I would love to hear more about the volturi backstory and stuff too. there is so much she could work with there I wish we could edwards point of view on all the books *sighs* I think all that's mentioned in Eclipse is that Edward suspicions are confirmed about the late arrival of the volturi. I think you are meant to assume the Volturi were hanging back in hope of the newborns taking about a few cullens. I can't wait to see how much of this story is actually in the movie.

a score is all music and the soundtrack has different performers singing the songs off the soundtrack as an example on the Twilight soundtrack(the very first soundtrack) it had the group Muse singing the song Supermassive Black Hole so again the score is all music and the soundtrack has performers singing the songs to the movie

<3 this score,to be honest i like all the different composers for every different movie.Carter was great for Twilight,Alexander was great for New Moon and Howard is great for Eclipse,they all bring something diffrent for every diffrent film and they portray the diffrent moods for every film and thats what i love!!anybody agree?? <3

the soundtrack are diffrent bands singing the songs and are played threwout the movie.but the score has a composer and has just straight background music orchestrated and plays during diffrent scenes. for example,in New Moon when Edward breaks up with Bella theres background music and that music is on the Score. And in New Moon during the birthday party they have a song playing and that song is featured on the Soundtrack……does that make sense?

I'll have to check out each of the scores now. I didn't realize they were different things. I LOVE the Twilight soundtrack. It's getting wore out… I play it over and over in my car. I never get tired of it though!!

music for the Eclipse movie is great and very dramatic,
i love the job that Carter did in Twilight, and Desplat in New moon, New moon theme is awesome and very emotional

I am a bit sad, I had high hopes for Howard Shore. I loved the soundtrack from Twilight, the score was good. I hated the soundtrack from New Moon, but the score was outstanding. Now here we are at Eclipse and once again the soundtrack is very good with a couple of exceptions but the score is nothing special. I just spent the last 45 minutes listening to it and it is not great. Not as good as New Moon or Twilight. Well maybe they will get both the soundtrack and score right for Breaking Dawn. I think they should look at JAMES NEWTON HOWARD, he does beautiful work and it the right kind of composer for this story.

Me too!!!! I want as much as I can from SM and her world of Twilight… I was heart broken that which ever idiot it was leaked Midnight Sun!!! Or else we would have gotten the best parts!!! Where as where it ends in the online version is like right before all the stuff I always wanted to know what was going on in E's mind! Sooo aggravating! *growls*
