She wanted to do something different for Eclipse -

Hey guys,

I want to do something different with publicity for this movie release. For Twilight, I did the normal press junket, for New Moon I got to go on Oprah. Both of these were fun, exciting experiences. However, they both had the same drawback—the interviews were designed for a very broad audience, and because of that, most of the questions were about things you guys have known the answers to for years. I feel like all of the basic questions have been answered, and for Eclipse I want to focus on the more specific questions of the readers. To accomplish that, I’m hosting my own mini-junket with a few fansites. It will be held on Friday, June 18th, the week before the L.A. premiere.

Unfortunately, I can’t talk to every single site, and I want to keep this as low key and enjoyable as possible. So I put all the U.S. fansites in a hat (for logistical reasons, we had to keep this in the country) and drew out four names.

The names I drew were:

Letters To Twilight (letterstotwilight.wordpress.com)

Each of these sites is invited to send two members of their staff (or one member and a guest) to our fan-centric mini-junket. You will be contacted shortly by my assistant, who will give you all the specific information. In the event that any of the sites is unable to send representatives, I’ve already drawn four back up sites, which I will post if it becomes necessary.

I’ll answer all of your questions (and your readers questions, if you want to poll them) about the Eclipse Movie, and the Bree story, as well, which will have been out for a few weeks by then. We’ll have lunch, hang out, and hopefully have a fantastic time. I hope you all can make it!

That is what I loathed about Bella from the start… that she never believed she was Edward’s equal. I understand, but it got to a point where it was like, Come On, Girl! He is choosing to be with you. He is torturing himself to be near you. I wanted to slap her and tell her first off, you should not be spending every moment wishing you were with Edward when you aren’t..get some hobbies, girl. LOL With Jake, she always felt like an equal, I think. The motorcycles, even…not wanting to ride with Edward because he would be hovering over her so that she would not have fun as she did with Jake. What a tangled web….LOL

LOL- you are so right, Bella DOESN’T deserve him. She’s Edward’s problem now. Jake deserves someone who is more sure of herself and her feelings, and doesn’t just chose the co-dependency-filled relationship of some wealthy dude.

She had mentioned in an interview that Eclipse had an alternate ending i believe that ending was bella and edward getting married. she had already said that when she wrote new moon and eclipse she had no intentions of changing the story and she doesn’t like tragic endings. SM was picked up for a 3 book deal and they fought against renesmee. SM was not happy with the ending because there would be no Renesmee and so she fought for her thats why we have Breaking Dawn. SO Im thinking that the alternate ending is Isle Esme and possibly Bella becoming a vampire.

Twilight also has an alternate ending Bella and Edward were engaged but one of the editors had a problem with the two of them getting married at 17 so thats why she wrote New Moon. As far as the clues in Eclipse remenber SM saying that there are clues in eclipse you have to look for them that will tell you what will happen in BD like Quill imprinting on Claire

I don't want to argue or disrespect you in anyway because I know that we all have different feelings and perspectives when reading the books.

But after reading the books from beginning to end, I don't honestly see how anyone could question why Bella chose Edward. It was fate, destiny, meant to be.

In another alternative reality where Edward never existed and it was just Bella and Jacob, they would have ended up together and been blissfully happy. No doubt in my mind.

But Edward and Bella were meant to be. Before they even met, it was planned and it all came together how it should have.

Now if I was one that had not read the books and just watched the movies up to this point, I would without a doubt be Team Jacob. I would not understand or get why Bella loves Edward or choses him. The movies are very biased and very unfair in depicting both teams. They are PRO Jacob all the way.

And it is not fair to you guys that are Team Jacob because he gets the ultimate SHAFT at the end of BD. I will to this day never understand why SM chose to have him imprint on Renesmee and leave him with that conclusion to his story. WTF???

To the Team Renesmee's, yes I have read SM's explanation and I am aware of why she did this, but I don't have to agree with it or like it.

My question would be why SM had all that buildup at the end of Breaking Dawn and then……nothing happened. Why would she have the Volturi fearsome threesome, the Guard, the wives come all the way to Forks just to sit around for afternoon tea?

Worst.Ending.Ever. It was so underwhelming and felt like a complete cop out. Any of the nomads that were just standing around looking pensive could have perished and I wouldn't blink an eye at it.

That is my biggest gripe, it's tied with the whole imprinting debacle. Jake can't fight with Eclipse Edward so SM has him settle for second best, her daughter?? I would have personally liked seeing Jake and Leah together since her story was left up in the air.

I have read the books (3 times, New Moon I have read 5 times) so I do understand the whole arc of the story. What baffles me is how team Edward folks, like yourself I'm assuming, could just presume that 50% of the fan base is wrong and delusional. Why are there so many team Jacob members out there if they didn't see the same story from this logical perspective. Just because SM's imagination veered the story one way, it doesn't mean that was the only way it could have gone, or should have gone. Personally, I think team Jacob fans are more logical and realistic and team Edward fans are more idealistic and delusional- why wouldn't you chose a human guy who would allow you to be with your family and be able to protect you. Instead abandon your family, friends, life, everything for one guy (yikes, I seriously don't know if I would ever let my daughters read this.) So let me get this straight: If the love is strong enough, then abandon everything else and completely change your identity. Hmm, I have actually known girls like that in high school and college and let me tell you they are not very happy today (nor do they have any friends).

Sorry i had to leave last night, but my sister's computer is broken and she hasn't done any effort in fixing hers so whenever she's in need of technology i let her use mine.
Today i didnt go to school. I always put two alarms to tell me the time to wake up and the time to leave so i wont be late, but today the one that woke me up was the one to leave, so even if i would have gotten out of bed at that time i would have been late. Anyway i didnt feel like going in the morning. Then at noon i decided to go to my english and my history class at least, but my dad wouldn't let me go so late.
Disqus was a real headache yesterday for me, every time i tried to comment i would do so as a guest, and wouldn't let me sign in until late night that i decided to open up the “verification email” that i had saved and from there i could log in.
Today Nikki is going to be in the Ellen show, and tomorrow Rob will be there, so dont miss it. Is at 4PM(the same time as Oprah) but on another channel, i think is on CBS but i could be wrong.

don't you think we take this to extremes sometimes? Why are you right and I'm wrong? There's is really no right or wrong here. I find Jake rude, selfish, arrongant, inmature & manipulative, so why would i choose a guy like that?(don't kill me this is just my opinion )lol Obviously you think differently and it's ok! it's all about what or who you identify yourself with. You love Jake and find him to be perfect? Well that's great! but you have to accept that there's a ton of people that don't share your opinion and that doesn't mean they're wrong!
If the story had gone a different way, i'm sure i would still love it.

You have your opinion and I have mine. Why does everything have to be an argument? I love Taylor, I can see the standpoint of Jacob fans, even if I disagree on some points. I may not care for book Jacob but I respect where he is coming from.

And I completely disagree that Edward is the idealistic, delusional choice. But we could be here all day.

I’m Team Jacob all the way and hope Stephanie makes an alternate ending where Jake n Bella are together. After Bella saves Edward, she still had a broken heart and couldn’t face life with him for fear of him leaving again after she recovers but as she has an inner battle she gets closer to Jacob but he thinks Bella doesn’t love him and only Edward so Jake tells her hes leaving and never coming back. Bella realizes she can’t be without Jake or she’ll fall apart and goes out to find him. When she does she tells him she doesn’t want Edward and that shes chose him (Jake). Jacob imprints Bella because he was always destined to be with her until Edward came but now she chose him they were back on track. This is my vision of how the story should end.
