E! Online’s Ted Casablanca stated yesterday in his gossip column The Awful Truth that his “Deep Twi-source” said Stephenie Meyer can’t decide if Breaking Dawn should be in two movies. Stephenie Meyer responded to this gossip news on her website:
Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip get fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.

And if they had a mini fighting scene in New Moon, I pretty sure we could see a little rumble between Cullens and the VOlturi, I so want to see Carlisle put Aro in a head lock, Jane and Bella beocth slapping each other, Jake and Nessie biting a few ankles, Felix and Emmett ripping off their shirts to do battling promping Aro to come out of the closet, while Edward is body slamming Demetri and Marcus is sleeping under a tree.
I don't see any reason why they won't do two films.
BD is way too long and convoluted to put it in one film. They can shoot both together like the POTC sequels and the Matrix sequels and get more bang for their buck while making the fans happy with an extra film.

Hmm. I used to be against 2 movies (mainly b/c I was hoping for a drastic slimdown of the epically boring and drawn-out vampire summit at the Cullen house). But, knowing MR, she'll just expand on that part and cut out all the stuff we WANT to see (wedding, Isle Esme..etc.)
So now I'm totally on board for 2 films- cut at the birth scene, I imagine. Which means, much like the book, I'll LOVE LOVE LOVE the first half and question the sanity of SM during the second half (except for the all-night cottage lovin' scene where they didn't even make it to the bed!) Haha.

There s so such thing on her website…Or maybe I couldn't find it…Anyway, I m sure she would not settle for smth less than what she expects from Summit… Discussions must take such a long time because either way (one film or two) the production must include aaaaaaaaall the key scenes and being so many they are trying to find the best way to do that…I m sure Stephenie would not allow Summit to ruin everything and that the length is not what it's taking so long. They already said that IF BD will be a one part film it will have the necessary consistency to cover the important parts. Like LOTR for ex….So this must not be their primary concern…We should just let them debate in silence, without having to check the media and fan-sites for wrong assumptions. Thank you. I feel like you do. I can t understand where”Demon Child” is coming from. To me Renesmee is a product of their beautiful love. Im happy, especially for Edward, because he wanted this and thought it was not possible. Renesmee is adorable she is not a demon. Not only did she bring joy to E/B but to the Cullens as well.

They can shoot both films either concurrently or one right after the other…one director or two…TV shows do that with premiere episodes and the like. Shouldn't take that much more time and the major difference in mone involves the actors–they could get a cut of the gross so that shouldn't be too much of a problem, do you think?

When it comes to BD, they are not going to just keep it along with the book, they'll be adding fight scenes with the Volturi and the Cullen clang. I'm sure of it. They'll be adding random Volturi bits, Irina going to them. Blah blah blah.
Eseentially when they add important and sometimes USELESS – stink eye at you MR – scenes the movie has to be split into two. I'm more for good and USEFULL added scenes,l so i'm down for two movies.

The entire aspect of BD leans toward the two films. They could end it with the imprinting and Bella turned as a vamp. Then you would have another film about the Volturi, immortal children which would allow scenes of the Denali to give a backstory, and life of Bella/Edward as parents. There are so many possibilities with this book and easily be two varying entities.

As far as Jake.. he couldn't get the girl he loved, so he had to settle for 2nd best. And it's her kid. Icky to me! That's how I look at it. Of course I know it's not like that now, but eh, it's the thought that it will be like that in the future. I like her okay by herself or with her parents, but other than that, no. I just think Jake deserved better and for Bella to work for his friendship.

I think maybe because she almost killed Bella during child birth. Would you call a child whose mother died in child birth an evil spawn? I think not. I love Renesmee she is the one who brought happiness to our main characters and not to mention the rest of the Cullen family. Another thing she did was completely unite the Cullens and the Wolves without her it would have been a war and Charlie would prob. be out of the picture as well.

When I went that HORRIBLE site yesterday, read that trash I laughed. The reason I laughed is due to having heard Stephenie Meyers say in interview that Breaking Dawn HAD to be done in TWO MOVIES. The reason for this is due to the book being so long and so much ground had to be covered for the movie to be done right.
Stephenie will make sure Breaking Dawn is done correctly. I didn't buy the rumors.As for MR doing script, well lets say that if what ever director they pick doesn't like what she has written they will send her back to re-do. WHoever they pick knows the fan base of the saga. they dont want to disappoint us.

Maybe she was rushed into the story, but the joy she brought to the Cullens, Bella and Jacob made it all better for me.. Maybe it is a little creepy that Jacob imprinted on the daughter of the woman he loved, but what better way to keep Jake in Bella's life and to bring him someone that Bella would accept (although that is not something that was required, but still..)

Seeing as though I'm probably one of the only people on this site that calls “Nessie” the demonchild, I'll answer your questions. First: No, I don't have children. I'm only 18. I love kids though! Second: I don't think Edward and Bella are evil at all. Here's the thing: I understand how SMeyer would want to show the ultimate representation of their beautiful love through a child. Great. How romantic. Seriously, it's a cute idea. But come on! The mutant child (is that a better name?) is killing her mom, sucking the life out of her and the birth…ohmygod the birth, she pretty much chews her way out of Bella. That is SO how I want to give birth to my future children. I just love mutant babies that grow with repulsing speed, are born with teeth, chew their way out of mommy, drink blood and read. I also have a problem with the fact that before getting pregnant, Bella did not mention anywhere in the previous books that she ever wanted kids. Then she gets preggers and she's all gung-ho about the child. Not scared, just super happy and excited. Um, yeah. If I were 19 and got knocked up with a vampire's baby (which is impossible btw), I sure would freak the hell out…at least when I first find out. The whole “I love my child, no you can't get rid of it, I'd die for it” thing would come later. MUCH later. And then the fact that Nessie SO freakin' perfect. Disgustingly perfect. It's not cute, it's creepy. And you know that special moment when a new mom gets to hold her baby for the first time and it's such a happy moment? Uh, no. That didn't happen. Nessie had to go and chomp on her mother. Awesome. So yeah, I don't think I have to further explain why I dislike Nessie. I'm not a SMeyer fan (Ii will never read anything else by her unless it has to do with Twilight and even then, I'll probably just wait for months on the library waitlist to read the book), I'm a Twi-fan. I'm a fan of this series that totally sucked me in and will not let me out. As you say many fans are glad that Nessie was born, I can assure you that there are PLENTY of disappointed fans as well. But just because we don't like BD, or don't share the same fervor as the rest of you Twi-hards, doesn't mean we're not fans. You can't possibly think the entire series is PERFECT with nothing to complain about, right?

Yeah! That was one thing I certainly noticed about BD, Bella and Edward behaved differntly in book 3.. I always 'blamed' it on the fact that Bella wasn't whiny anymore and she had certainly grown and for Edward the fact that he didn't have to be careful anymore.. But every time Nessie said Daddy I had such a feeling of happiness, I guess, go through me, that Edward was an actual Dad.. It always makes me giggle

Like I said, I freakin' love Twilight. That's why I'm here. That's why I have NMM and Eclipsemovie.org as my home pages. But I don't love every single thing about Twilight. I see its faults. I acknowlege them. But it doesn't change anything about the experience I've had with Twilight. I've met tons of people, made a lot of new friends, and because of them and also because of Twilight, I've discovered more about the person I am. I do understand that without SM, these books would never have been written and I wouldn't be living the life I do now, so I'm thankful that she created such an addicting story that connected so many people to each other, but I will not cherish the ground she walks on or say she is the most perfect writer ever or that BD (or the entire series) was the most amazing thing I've ever read. I'm sorry that I can't love a series without loving the author as well. Good thing there's millions of fangirls who can take my space and buy anything else SM writes.

Let me clarify: I am not a fan of SM's writing. How about that? Story? Yes. Writing style? No. Character development and all that jazz? Uh…not really. The story itself is a love story, which I'm a total sucker for. It was all cutesy and romantic and epic in the first three books and then BAM not so much later, it got too bizarre, creepy, even more unrealistic (and also boring). wtf…Underworld? Ha. That movie scared the shiz out of me. I could care less about the other werewolf/vampire hybrids.

Bella wasn't “freaked the hell out” about having a vampire baby because she never really saw Edward or the Cullens or Jake and his pack for that matter vampire or were wolf. She just saw them for who they were so I don't think she really realized that she was pregnant with a vamp kid. And yes Bella was very young but they say a lot in the book she's like “middle aged” or something? But anyways, she's old for her years. And about Bella never wanting ro mentioning a kid throughout the series . . . Bella actually says (well thinks i guess) that “she didn't want a child until she was pregnant and she didn't like being married until she was married” And about renesemee being so perfect . . . honestly, if she wasn't so perfect and smart and special than what would the point be for all bella's almost dying and what ever? She had to be out of the ordinary obviously or else it would just be boring. And it makes sense, the vamps are perfect– shes half vamp– the vamps are smart– shes half vamp– but she also has human qualities. So yeah. And you gotta have some love in your heart for SM! Don't you? She made the wonderful series!!! NO BOOKS EQUALS NO MOVIES WHICH EQUALS NO AWESOME FAME FOR THE CAST WHICH EQUALS WE WOULDN'T HAVE EVER DISCOVERED (AT LEAST EASILY) RPATZ AND TAYLOR!!! This was their big break– for all of them. And i am truly gratful for it. SM really has helped many people through her books. Personally these books bring some light into my oh so boring day. And SM's other book “The Host” is fantastic. I read it twice and can't wait to read it again after I finish BD again. It's totally different from twilight. No vamps. Aliens this time. But it's a love story. Sorry . . . getting lost in the awesomeness. So yeah.

That is a serious lack of judgment there. And to think she could raise a child with that mindset. Yes, I know she loved Edward. He was her reason for being, her everything. But honey, don't jump off a bridge to piss him off by doing stupid, reckless things. Show him that you are capable of living a normal life and don't need a man to make you happy, that'll make you even more irrestible to him. Just saying. I know it's not an advice column for Bella. haha. And Nessie being perfect. OMGGGG. I'm sure you already know how I feel about that. lol WHY does she get to be so perfect? WHY does everything end up so perfect in the end? It just, eh…irks me. Or maybe it's just my plain, cold heart that pines for Bella to live a miserable life and not get everything she wants. No, I wanted Bella and Edward to live happily ever after, but not like that! That was way too easy! As for me being/not being a fan, see the comment I made that's just a few posts above yours. I can tell you that I hate people who just bash on Twilight ALL THE TIME. There's a point where's it's like, okay. Whatever, poo on you, man. And you should try and give HP another chance. It took me two years to finally sit down and read the fourth book after starting it once and not being interested in it. Those books are amazing. But I'm biased, so you'll have to find out for yourself.

When i first read bd, i was kinda freaking out about how the child was hurting bella – that was before we got to know renesmee through bella
and before we realized how perfectly the three of them (edward bella and nessie) were together and how much bella loved her baby and no, bella didn't always have a burning desire to have a child. that doesn't lessen her love for nessie. if i remember correctly, she didn't always want to get married, or even to become a vampire (before she met edward,) so…. i hope im not coming off to harsh or anything, its just that i have noticed a lot of people disrespecting bd around here lately, and its starting to get to me

I'm reading BD right now…and I love it more each and every time I read it. I honestly didn't think her having a baby was weird or anything until I heard other people say it. ANd I can admit…yeah, maybe a little strange. But it is the TWILIGHT saga…the story. And one of my favorites. There are so many epic and wonderful moments in BD. Haters be gone! If you don't like BD, then go to ff.net and create your own ending. Because for alot of us BD is amazing.

Reading it right now. And at first I hated Jacob's dialogue cause it was so sad…and generally I like the vamp side of things.
But I now see why it was necessary for us to see Jacob's side of things. We get to see how he truly feels about Bella (which is really nice to see once you go back and re-read NM and Eclipse). We see how the treaty effects the werewolves and vamps and how Jacob has to deal with that. We also get to see how Edward is really feeling and thinking through Jacob, because if it was through Bella's POV, we would only see the “composed” Edward. And also if it was in Bella's POV, she would just be lying there in the house all day…boring. So all in all…I like Jacob's part now.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I just love discussing the books!

To me…Nessie is a way of bringing the story to a proper and happy ending. If Bella was not pregnant, where would be the point where she would FINALLY become a vamp with Edward. Even on the honeymoon, she questions waiting…and says she likes “this” part of being human. Nessie definitely brings us to that ultimate moment of Bella becoming a vamp.
To me, Twilight is a story of love and the journey of how to be with that love forever. Nessie is one stop on the journey.
Oh my!!! I JUST read that part last night…it is heart-breaking. It will take everything Rob has to act that part. The description is…terrifying. I love the J/E dialogue though…even though it has lots of angst.

That was the only part of Breaking Dawn that was hard for me to read. The first time I read BD I remember being mad at Bella for making Edward so sad, & teaming up with Rosalie of all people. When Edward fell to the ground, it killed me! But I was ok when the baby was out & didn't kill her . . .
I guess everyone has parts of the series that they like & dislike, but I think the thing to remember is that this was a story SM had in her head, & she chose the path her characters took. It wasn't her job to write some big epic battle or change how Renessme came to be or what she was like, in fear of some people's opinion. She had to stay true to herself. So it's kind of mean & disrespectful to bash her story – but I for one am soooo glad SM let us in her head!!

on her website, stephanie says that “forever dawn” (the original sequel to twlilight) has alot of the same plotline as BD, only it is all from Bella's POV… she has mentioned the possibility of publishing select chapters from it, which i think would be really amazing….

Exactly. Renesmee is not a human child. She is half vampire and half human. She was growing at a fast rate. bella's body could not handle that growth Speed. You can't blame renesmee for that. her growth was not something she could control. Renesmee is an innocent angel. So adorable and cute. SM said in an interview she plans to write from her POV when she is about 5 years old which would be equivalent to 15 years. I m so looking forward to that.
And also if it was in Bella's POV, she would just be lying there in the house all day…boring. So all in all…I like Jacob's part now.
That is exactly what SM said in an interview. it was originally written from bella's POV. Bella was overhearing the conversations that took place around her. Sm said it was very boring. but there was so much going on outside. so she changed it to Jacob's POV. I think it was great. jacob is so funny. And you get to see how his relationship with edward and the cullens change. They practically adopted him.

My favourite book as well. When I first read it, I loved it more than all the others. It was the conclusion of the story. All that was missing from all the other books. Furthernmore the pregnancy and birth did not freak me out because if it was reality, there would be that exact danger (not compatible dnas and stuff).
Anyway…
And why should it end? I could think of at least 2 more books / stories: one for example Nessie growing until adulthood with some action in between and another about Nessie's and Jacob's story (all other characters of course included in some parallel story)
I imagine that SM could come up with a lot of action and clean up royally if she continues the Saga after a while…
Voting for 2 movies as well, as long as they sreen in the same year. For example November and June (like NM and Eclipse)… we are going to wait at least a year for BD1, hopefully we do not have to wait another for BD2

Actually i saw 2 different interviews where she said that. I know one was MTV. I will look for it and send it to you. originally she had written from bella's POV but because bella was lying on the sofa most of the time we were only able to get the conversations she was overhearing. there was so much going on outside that we would not have gotten. Seeing that Nessie is a fictional baby, I don't see any reason why I should have to love and accept her. In RL however, I agree with your statement. Every child deserves to be loved. My cousin is Autistic, I see his mother struggle everyday with the fact that her child will never be “normal”. But it's good that he has a life to live still. And okay, I know a writer writes for themselves. I know SM is happy with BD, otherwise she wouldn't have written it. I, on the other hand, as well as MANY others were disappointed with it. And we're allowed to be.

Take that back! “Dark Reunion” and “The Return – Nightfall” are not bizarre or creepy, they are brilliant – and different and good. If you don't like them that is fine just leave them out of a convasation they were never in in the first place. And as for totally unrealistic try a different genre if fantasy is not to your taste, just leave the books alone. “Sarcastic tone” I would just LOVE to see how well you could write a book in the fantasy genre without making a carbon copy of something else AND keep it frest and realistic.

I love the Saga books, but I am sceptic and was a bit wordless when I read the first Nightfall book. Will read the new one in March as well, as I would like to see how the story continues, but honestly we can't love everything just because it is about fantasy and vampires.

Ok, maybe I was a little harsh on you yesterday and just for the record I'm not usually like that and this isn't an excuse but I wasn't in the prettiest mood yesterday anyway on account of being send home from school with a blurred, swollen eye (some lads in my year found it hilarious to pelt snowballs at me with grit, stones and ice in them and to carry on after one had half blinded me and I couldn't even see) The cold snap is not good, and after that I was just spoiling for a fight as Im probably going to get bombarded again only worse on Monday for being a “grass.”
Anyway this is totally off topic, and you dont need to hear about my sad, pathetic little life now do you? I just hope this explains why I was a little harsh. And as for Vampire Diaries books, did you read the first two? It makes a hell of a lot more sense if you have, also I hear The Southern Vampire Mysteries (a.k.a. True Blood) series books are meant to be good if you love fantasy/vampires a lot. I can only hazard a guess at wether you have read the books or seen the show or not, but im guessing you probably have. So I guess im trying to say maybe I shouldn't have been as harsh but calling certain books “screwed up unrealistic” isn't nice or helpful. Also if you want “screwed up” but absolutely epic try the Demonata series by Darren Shan. They are fantasy with a difference, gory as hell, but there are 10 books in the series and each one keeps you guessing right up to the very end!

well bella's not like you. everyone's different. besides, if bella quickly accepted her a world with wolves and vamps then obviously she'd accept a mutant child. i would accept it if i had one, i'd freak out of course but even a mutant child is a precious creature that deserves to live. cos in the end its NOT the child's fault she's preggers and eating her inside out. its based on instinct/need cos bella is human and the baby needed nourishment. of course i'd be freaked out too and worried over bella but its like breast feeding a baby. she needed the blood. and of course a baby wouldn't know better but to get what it needs.
thats how i see it anyway. sure the books have a lot of flaws but its very entertaining and interesting too.

I tend to think it's open to interpretation because in all their legends the imprinting didn't happen often, it was even less so with imprinting on a child. Not to mention it's said that you be what your imprint needs you to be. What if your imprint just needs you as a life-long friend? I guess that's why I believe it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be true love.
yes the books are open to interpretation and yes he can be whatever she needs but eventually he'll want more from her as she grows and if she doesn't, he'll be heartbroken.
it doesnt have to be true love but from his part it is and it will be. he'll never be satisfied with another even if he tried cos thats his soul mate. thats the whole point of imprinting as far as i can recall.

lol. I loved the drama in Eclipse. Bella pisses me off so much in that one. Haha. But it's so worth it. And the fighting. It's what I want out of a book. I remember when I first read it and she kissed Jacob, I freaked out. I felt bad for Edward. >.<' Then the second time I read it, I was like, “OMGGGGG” (in a good way haha). And now I'm like, “you little skankkkk! stop playing with their hearts!” XD Lots of ups and downs.
New Moon is really good too. The first time I read it, I'm surprised I didn't burn the darn thing when Edward left. Not cool. Haha. It took me forever to get through the whole thing. Especially with Bella whining and not being able to live without Edward….and then he comes back and she's like, “ok.” pretty much. THAT was probably the only thing I had a problem with in NM. Haha.
poor leah. Yeah she would. I think SM should pair her with Nahuel. That will be a riot. She is planning to write from leah POV. She already has outlines but does not know if she will have hem published. I think she's tired of so much critism. Even nessie's name was a problem for some of the readers. It's not even constructive critism. She got so much bashing for breaking dawn. There was even talk of burning her books and returning them. I hope she can get past that and have Leah`s and Renesmee's POV. The saga just won t be complete without them. We know jacob imprinted but i want to see nessie's grow and see how their relationship develops. And leah needs her happy ending. She and jacob were able to relate because they were both going through the same thing. but now that jacob imprinted. i can t imagine how she must feel. not that she is one of my favorite characters but i can understand her bitterness. Poor thing.
her bitterness is more towards sam and just the concept of imprinting in general i think. but yes i'd love to read a jake/nessie story from SM
altho there are great ones on FF.net i do feel sorry for leah tho, yes her and jacob can relate but she has too much emotional baggage and i wouldnt want that for jacob after going thru with bella's crap.

the problem with that is that once you imprint you lose your freedom. Your imprintee does not. Nessie does not have to choose jacob she can move on. But jacob cannot because he lost his freedom once he imprinted on her.
I saw a video of a tour that she did after eclipse. She was saying that if jacob had imprinted on bella he would lose his freedom but she would not. her feelings for Edward would not change. Because he lost his freedom he would not be able to move on. She also said in another interview that leah and jacob were developing a connection but he and nessie belong together. It's always been that way. So if nessie decides to date someone else jacob will never find a soulmate because nessie is who he belongs with. Yes I have read all the vampire Diaries books so far and I can say that the first 3 are preety good and the story is flowing. The 4th 'Dark Reunion' was different but ok. Sorry but I will stand on my opinion about the 5th book, the first of the Nightall series. Mate that was really weird, but as I said I will read the new one on March when it's published to see how the story continues. I am a grat fan of the tv show as well.
Haven't read the True Blood books, nor seen the show. In Greece they will show season 1 sometime starting next month or so…

Yeah he doesn't get it. Though he really likes the movies, but he's not
intelligent enough to read the books, lol. I don't think he'll ever get it,
haha. And the great part is… I DON'T CARE, lol. Yeah for sure one day when
r-patz walks in I will call you up and we'll have a party. Whooo hoooo.

I made a twilighy cak in a cake auction and it came in 1st place! Well, what can i say? twilightt surely is number one! lol. 
and about your husband not being intelligent enough ROTFL! Too funny. I find boys just don't get it. My dad does . . . lol. I brought him to see NM with me. And he cuts or twilight stuff from newspapers and stuff. lol he loves it. 
he doesn't read the books though. lol I think the last book he read was “green eggs and ham” by dr suess how many years ago to me. lol.

Haha that's awesome your Dad likes it. I'm 22 and my Dad thinks I'm like
nuts, but he thinks anyone is nuts if they like a movie that isn't a
“cowboy” movie with shooting in it, lol. I hate westerns, haha. That is so
awesome about the cake! I totally want a Twilight cake for my next b-day,
that would be sweeeetttttt! Basically the best thing ever. I am however
re-creating the painting in New Moon when Bella is opening her presents at
the Cullens, you know the really modern painting behind them before she is
lol sorry pressed the wrong button… I meant to say before she is thrown
into the wall. So that will be amazing once it's done. CANNOT WAIT!!! lol

Im JUST about to turn 15. But I have 3 sisters 2 older and one younger and I am like most responsible. LOL. My mo was saying how she's going away for a week for vacation and I asked if I can stay with a friend cuz my mom and dad are split up but she wanted me to stay at home and make sure my sister's don't do anything stupid liek throw a party. She said im the only one with common sence. LOL. 
So I'm going to be babysitting my 20 yr old, 18 yr old, and 11 yr old sisters when my mom goes on vacation. 
And it's true I totally am the most responsoble! LOL. 
And I my mom and my friends mom is going to make me a REALLY aweseom twilight cake for my birthday which is in february! Like on that show “cake boss”. My friends mom is taking classes at a university to make awesome cakes like that. 
I can't wait! Oh and when's you birthday? I'll make you a twilight cake! lol. I'll send it to you in the mail.

That is such a good idea. I should send it to nmm.org whenever I am done
with it, lol. Haha I was always the responsible one too, so don't worry. My
b-day is September 17th, lol. I love cake… hehe. I'm going to start doing
my research at the local art gallery and see how much I have to spend on
materials for the “Cullens painting” re-creation. SO excited to do it
though! Hopefully it turns out good! ahhh! Have fun “babysitting” lol. Those
darn older sisters, they are trouble makers let me tell ya.

(hence the hairdresser), I took art and photography all through middle
school and high school.
So I do have that potential and know somewhat of what I'm doing… but it's
been a while since I've painted something. So we'll see how it turns out….

My Mom decorates cakes… maybe I should try and bribe her to make me a
Twilight cake, lol. Well she decorates them on the side since she is so busy
with her full time job at the health department. But she is very talented.
I wish she had time to teach me how to do it and I could make my own darn
cake, lol. It would probably look horrible though. I will get this figured
out! haha.
What would be awesome is a lifesize cake of Edward Cullen *drool drool* that
would be flipping amazing.
