Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) was interviewed on The Kyle & Jackie O Show in Australia recently.   Xavier is also from Australia.  Xavier talks about being cast as Riley in Eclipse.  Kyle asks Xavier about Rob and “that chic with the gym boots”.   Hmph!  

I’m sure the rest cast is also getting tired of being asked that question.  Sheesh!   Xavier handled it well.

Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) has two upcoming films Road Train & Drowning.   Road Train is a Sci-fi thriller and is still in post-production.  Drowning is a dramatic short film and will premiere at the Australia’s Flickerfest 2010 January 14th & 15th.

Wow!  I’d like to see both films.   Road Train looks super scary.  *shivers*  

Excited to see Xavier as Riley in Eclipse.   Plus…..Xavier is looking HOT!  Oh PLEASE give us the Eclipse trailer soon!! PLEASE!  Or some news on Breaking Dawn!!

New interview with Eclipse’s other stalker-like Vampire Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) done during his Christmas visit back home in Australia.

In the interview Xavier discusses how his life has changed since being cast in Eclipse, and says that the movie is just like the book -

“It’s a bizarre thing, the whole celebrity phenomenon,” Samuel told the Sunday Mail.

“But to see it in action is another thing. It’s a little strange having someone follow you to get a coffee.

“I wasn’t used to that sort of attention, so I just took it in my stride, I guess.

“I think Robert and Kristen do a really good job in dealing with fans.

“They seem to handle it really well, so if I can take a leaf out of their book I should be OK.”

Life in the US has also given Samuel a chance to catch up with fellow Adelaide actor Teresa Palmer, a former castmate from the local indy film 2:37.

“Teresa and I actually spent Halloween in LA together,” he said.

“It was my first Halloween and I went as a Canadian because I just came back from Vancouver. It just involved me putting on a cap, I didn’t really put a lot of effort in. It was either that or go as a Playboy bunny.”

Samuel may have a celebrity lifestyle, but he certainly doesn’t have a car to match – he bought his canary yellow Falcon with Benedict for just $500.

After the New Year, the two are planning to drive it to Sydney, where Benedict is studying at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts.

“The car only has a tape deck, so that’s what we’ve been asking everyone for Christmas – car tapes,” he laughed.

“We were listening to a fair bit of ’50s rock and roll on the way here.”

Meanwhile, Samuel has an obvious tip for Twilight fans wanting the inside scoop on the new film: “If you want to know what happens in the movie, just read the book.”

New pictures of Eclipse bad boy Xavier Samuel (aka Riley) at the Optunsone80 Project Dungoona premiere on Monday in Australia.

According to one80project.com.au the project is described as -

A national competition inviting anyone with a good idea for an hour long drama to submit a 180 second pilot and an accompanying treatment. This is then judged by an expert panel of industry specialists, which will to ultimately be produced and aired on MTV in Australia, online and on mobile.

Xavier was seen sending some mail and taking time to have pics done with a fan! How cute!

In celebration of Eclipse wrapping up filming, Eclipse director David Slade shared a picture via his twitter with all his followers. The pic is of Xavier Samuel (aka Riley).

This picture is obviously pre-transformation into a Vampire. What do you think? Personally, I want more! Give us the leg hitch David!! The Legggg hitch!!!!

New pictures of what is supposed to be Xavier Samuel in character as Riley from the set of Eclipse.

I’m not sure what to think of these pics. They were found over at TwiFans.com but they are also on a twitter account that is apparently Xavier’s (it has not been confirmed by anyone as of yet).

They could be real, and from the Eclipse set. Maybe they are from his attack scene (when Victoria turns him) or when he is attacking humans (their blood is all over his body)?

Lainey Gossip has the deets as to what they were filming -

I’m told exclusively that Xavier is working on what’s currently intended (at press time) to be the OPENING SCENE in Eclipse. “Riley” in human form is being terrorised down an alley in Seattle pursued by a sinister shadow which turns out to be “Victoria”. He cannot outrun her, she attacks him, and as you can see from the exclusive video below (from PUNKD Images) he writhes in pain from being bitten.

I think the video really explained what they were filming, but thanks for your input ValLaineyMort! (Thank you to TCA for the new nickname!)

Great work Xavier!! I can’t wait to see more of Eclipse : )
