I can't see his career doing great. His choice in roles sould very much like he will be type-cast in more ways then one.

In the Twilight films, every actor has the backing of the twi-fan base but in their own movie roles this is where they will prove they can carry a film.

Kristen has done this already with The Runaways and the other one (I forgot the name). Rob will do fine with Remember Me and Bel Ami am sure will seal that hole. (He is already getting good reviews for this role in Remember Me)
Taylor hasn't been in his own movie yet, Valentines Day does not count as his own movie. He has a cameo role.

Looking at his roles, Max steel will come across as very G.I.Joe style and this film just screams crazy. Its not the type that would pull me in to the cinema. Most his roles seem to be taking his shirt off and i can tell you now majority of people will be sick of seeing it and will come down hard on him. His other roles do not interest me at all as a movie fan.

Once Twilight is over it will be interesting to see the cast afterwards and how strong their actual fans support and love for each of the main three actors stay true. Or will we see it was a certain object of attraction.

I'm not Taylors biggest fan, but I'm not stupid and I can see he has alot of potential.

But on the other hand, if this is what he wants to do I'm not going to criticise it. But he's not choosing very deep roles. He's young, this is most likely something he enjoys, maybe when he becomes more mature, he'll start picking movies that will heighten his career, not just show off his muscles.

I pray and hope eclipse does well but there is alot stalk against like the switch, the comps. and timing. no i dont want to wait til nov. but history is a repeater. i dont think they will moved it back to nov. because there is alot comps. esp. for IMAX. you have tron, hp, narnia, and so many others.

There are many others. But I am not listing them all. Summer line up for July/August isn’t locked and completely known until like March/ April. We pretty much know the before comps. Unlikely to change. The switch is regarding the “Replacement Act of July” with Bryce and Rachelle. I saw that once and I kinda like it. The survey is a honestly promise survey which mean you shouldn’t lie. Everyone asked questions about Twilight. We are currently in the process of adding a Twilight course to our HP, Star Wars, LOTR and Star Trek course line up. Its liberal arts here and its an easy A. It was like 10 initial questions with follow up every month on some. I have a love/hate relationship with it all. I hated it when twilight became commercial. I want the movies but not the commercialism. It is business but still. I have not gone to a convention since Summit joined up. I want to one shortly afterwards and then throw the rag in. When it goes commercial it takes all the fun out of it. I am a Star Wars fan as well and don’t attend SW conventions for that reason.

I mean I love seeing him on screen, but b/c of the fact that he can really act and he's so much more than just a hot piece of meat, I'd really want him to take roles that aren't just dumb action heros..!! He can do so much more!!
I'd really want him to take roles that (like you said) have depth and challenge..! so he wouldn't be typecasted and people would take him seriously as actor and see that he's not just a pretty face.. :)
