So I just read on The Rolling Stones website that there is a track missing …

Joan Jett – Don't Abuse Me

will also be on the soundtrack …. I know it's not either of the songs people were hoping for but it is another JJ song …

And, there are the Sex Pistols !
But, oh well, I would have loved I Love Rock and Roll, Crimson and Clover, and others…
But, you don't always get what you want in life… Lol.

well the movie is about the band but mostly joan's relationship with cherie. so its all gonna be runaways songs not joan's songs. but she will release a greatest hits next month of joan jett & the blackhearts have you heard kristen singing in the movie into the wild?

Since those were songs from her solo work maybe that's why they've been left out. The Runaways were long over by then – or so my husband tells me. He knew them and used to play backyard parties with them and his band.

Take heart! I wanna be Your Dog is an epic Stooges song and my husband wooed me by playing the intro for Pretty Vacant the first time I saw his band play. It was an inside joke that he did it between songs and everyone turned and looked like “what the………. is going on?”

And the rest, as they say, is history! Nevermind that was 22 years ago. LOL

Sadly, in cherry bomb, you dont really know who's the one singing if you didnt see that dakota is the one singing because it doesnt sound like her. I bet they did alot of techy stuff (editing) to her voice. But their version is not bad. It's okay.

Really tragic that Suzi Quatro contribution is The Wild One…she created the whole “if the boys are wearing mascara and eyeliner, I'll wear lots of leather” thing that Jett borrowed completely. Joan liked the gender-bender trip that was all the rage in the 70's. Suzi Quatro refers to Joan Jett following her around to her US concert gigs in the film “Edgeplay”…an award winning bio-epic made first by Vicki Tischler-Blue. See that one first…Suzi's not delighted that Jett is stealing her act…but why should she be? Suzi Quatro came first…then the Runaways..then The Pretenders, etc.—I am sure Joan picked the Quatro single ''The Wild One”. This is a great song but not nearly as pivotal as Suzi's “Can the Can”, a glam rock staple. Joan idolized Quatro and Bowie. Still a good soundtrack. Joan did not care to participate in bio-epic of the Runaways “Edgeplay”…I guess this is her come-uppance…she's still no Suzi Quatro, but she always gave it her best shot. Suzi rocks…
