Like they say, there’s safety in numbers. The Twilight Saga stars Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have reportedly joined forces to negotiate their respective contracts.

As the trio approaches negotiations for what may be two films based on the Breaking Dawn novel in author Stephenie Meyer’svampire saga, word has it Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are joining forces to negotiate as a team.

Though nothing is yet on paper, there is word the huge box-office hauls of both “Twilight” and “New Moon” — and the likely success of “Eclipse,” already shot and due in June — has the three actors likely to be able to demand paychecks well into eight figures for the next two films.

Will they just come together and make Breaking Dawn already? This enough to give me high blood pressure! They are all a very humble group of people, but we all know it’s about money, but I have a strong feeling money isn’t the first priority here. After all we don’t want another Victoria fiasco on our hands. These contracts need to be iron clad, and keep all of the original members in these final movies.

P.S. Did anyone notice Tyler wasn’t in the New Moon movie? They could’ve at least had him sitting at the lunch room table not saying anything. I mean even Rachelle Lefevre didn’t have a line in the movie. No Tyler didn’t have a huge part in the saga, but he did cause the crash in Twilight that brought Edward & Bella together for goodness sakes!

Maybe we're looking at the 2 movie thing the wrong way. Its not that the book is being split into 2, maybe its there's an adult version and one for general release

While Twilight was still in theaters, my best friend and I decided that all the minor characters were our favorites: Tyler, Cora (the waitress), Waylon, and Gerald (the person Waylon asks for – who doesn't exist – before Victoria comes in).

We even went as far as to make up a dance called the “Tyler Dance” based on when Tyler shimmies on Bella at prom. It's set to “Go All The Way (Into the Twilight).” It takes all of his mannerisms from the movie and combines them into a dance:

Step 1: Shimmy.
Step 2: Hurl a Twizzler at Bella.
Step 3: Swerve the van.
Step 4: Roll down the window and apologize to Bella.

Then you occasionally dance like he does after he shimmies on Bella and sometimes you do the “hackysack” like he does on the day when it's sunny. It's actually genius if I do say so myself

Needless to say, though we figured out beforehand he wasn't in the movie, we were heartbroken at his absence haha

also i hope that summit stops being so cheap and gives rob and kristen and taylor a bigger paycheck…i heard rob signed on for 10 million dollars for the rest of the series after twilight and i know its a hell of a lot of money but soooo not enough for what he brings to this series…the three of them MAKE the series and if new moon alone is make 500 million dollars in 3 or so weeks then robs getting wayyy less than 1% of the profits and thats just not fair cuz without him and kristen and taylor the movies would not be as good…they are so devoted and deserve whatever they ask for =D ok im done my rant for the day!

I just can't imagine them not doing it.

I'll bet all involved are really having an intense time with the negotiations–Summit withe the ulcer-inducing task of having to open up those tight fists of theirs–really~Twilight cost 37 million to make but made 380 million world-wide, and New Moon cost 50 million to make but so far has made 476 million in the first couple of weeks? How much money can they make and put into their company?

The cast, especially R/J/K should be having a great time with all the leverage they have right now…what would happened if they walked away? LOL

I highly doubt that the bad reviews are her fault. A lot of reviews stated that they didn't even like the basic storyline of the books, so the movie would not have significantly changed that perception.

I love MR's work on the saga, so I have to strongly disagree with you. She did beautifully for a two hour movie, not a ten hour re-creation.

Oh, God no. Diablo Cody is horrendous. I would vomit if they had her dialogue in a Twilight movie. Melissa Rosenberg already does a terrific job. Seriously, it's a shame that some fans are so rude when they talk about an accomplished writer who has made these movies great. Remember, a lot of the great scenes in NM, INCLUDING the fight in the forest with Victoria, came out of her inventive mind.

About Tyler…who cares? He was never a significant character in the books, so why waste the money to have him in the movie for a few seconds if he doesn't contribute to the story?

To be honest I don't think the leads will pull out, even if they don't get
a massive salary increase they want to finish the saga.

Summit is a little independent company, I'm pleased they are so successful
at the moment beating the major players. I hope they give some of their
cash back to the actors but also for the production of BD CGI would be
major factor.

As you say they are spending relatively little and earning more and more
with each of the Twilight instalments

And many people strongly dislike her work for very good reason. None of us expected the book to be recreated verbatim, we know how movies are made, but we can see where the dialogue was bad and there are plot holes in the movie that were not there in the book.
Glad you enjoyed it but there are many of us who have valid reasons for disagreeing with that opinion.

Not Rude. Just opinions and criticism. Lets be honest the writing for NM was armature. We want Big.. the Saga is big, so many scenes didnt mesh. Doesnt mean we dont love NM, Obviously we do it made what it did, Just expected a llot more from it especially with dialogue making sense, thats not asking much. More for people who havent read the books. BD is a huge huge task to take on, we need a very talented SC or it will be the biggest laugh from critics and Non fans ever. Worse than NM was.

I'd like to think the actors are holding out for a little more than just money. I think they want to see it done right. Based on what their characters go through in this one….. imagine if this were to be done completely wrong *cough* MR style*cough*…. They will all look ridiculous for having this great Saga and then having the great “farce” known as BD to top it off. I'm sure they want to be very careful about what they're committing to here, and as long as I know they're in negotiations, I'm happy. It will have to be made. They're working on getting it right… I hope.

I've tried to keep up on all the interviews with MR. And I know she mainly did her own script on the first 2 films, but, didn't Stephenie have some say in a final drafts? And Chris, Rob, Kristen and Taylor suggested changes as well…so, it seems to me that everyone had a hand in how the movie was performed. Ya know?

The first time I saw Twilight and New Moon, the scenes jumped real quick into the next, along with the emotions…I can't imagine how a writer would add 'more' to that without it becoming a 4 hour movie, I agree with you that she did what she could with the time she was allowed.

I'm okay with her scripts…but, on a non-judgment view, I can see how some parts needed to be in the movies, and why some (even the important ones to us) could be cut.

I can understand everyone's views of the movie's scripts.
I'm just happy to go watch them, so there's not a lot for me to debate. But I won't deny that some book scenes we just reeeeeally want to see. And it's sad when there are some we have to give up.

Just think, if we didn't already read the books (or they didn't exist and these were just scripts), we'd have no idea what we were missing. That happened with me with Twilight. Saw the movie first, had no idea what I missed, until I read the book. Then I was like, whoa! :O) lol

I enjoyed Twilight but I didn't feel the overwhelming urge to read the books at first. When I did, I fell in love with them and read them all in a week and barely slept.
The movies won't be the same as the books and no one expects them to be, but the plot has to work and the characters should say things that are in character.
There seems to be no valid reason for some of the changes MR made. If a scene in the movie is going to be almost the same as in the book, why not use the dialogue from the book that works rather than inserting something new that sounds wrong in the character's 'voice'?
I can't imagine trying to fill in the plot holes if I'd never read the book and was watching the movie without knowing the background.
There are just too many scriptwriting errors for it to be considered a success for her. Many parts were even worse until CW and the cast had to tinker with them.
