Many pieces of this score remind me a lot of…. LOTR. Howard Shore likes to establish a theme for certain parties (like Jacob's theme and there are probably a couple of others for Eclipse) and play them up or down differently for the scenes they accompany. I very much like Metric's I'm All Yours instrumental and vocal (on the soundtrack) tracks.

I loved how the B and J themes sound similar to the Aragorn and Arwen themes from LOTR. They both sound beautiful and tragic, since both stories are sad. Jacob gets told no, and Bella suffers telling him no, and Arwen is left to wander Middle Earth for hundreds of years in mourning after Aragorn dies. I love it. I love Howard Shore. He is so brilliant and really thinks his composing through for all the scenes. If you have an extended version of LOTR watch the music and sound part on the extra DVDs. You will see just how brilliant he is! Great job with this score!!

I love Jacob's theme song, piano music always gets to me. Also, the “first kiss” and “kiss” song were very poetic and I loved the battle theme. sounds similar to LOTR, I have to admit it, but this is really just a sneek peak of the tracks, so I'm waiting for more! but definitely very good music for eclipse! oh this will be an awesome movie, everything just…fits!

Howard Shore did a very good job with this score, I think it's really deep and a little bit dark, it's suits Eclipse perfect! New Moon's score is still my favourite though! (:
